ALPHABET please

It's getting a bit messy here, with all the tools NOT in alphabetical order of GAME. N'est-pas?

Woops, that was me editing these pages. Mr.Mouse

I'm experimenting with alternate ways on this page: GameToolsTest -Captain 03:19, 14 Jun 2005 (EDT)

Current events

I have fixed the URL for the Far Cry tool, and hosted it at the WIKI. Also, the WWE tool is linked to an Angelfire URL, but that service does not allow through-linking. Will have to host that too probably. They are both very small tools. --Mr.Mouse 03:34, 31 May 2005 (EDT)

This page looks confusing now

I'm going to experiment with this a bit. I think the tools should at least have a short description on this page, and maybe a direct download link. I'm also not sure if we need to use that ABC table of contents style at this point. I'll try to work on it a bit tomorrow. -Captain 12:05, 27 May 2005 (EDT)

History

This URL is not to be used, as it is a temporary service. Perhaps we can host the tools, and ask support for the WIKI. In any event, this URL should go and be replaced by a permanent link

I'm not sure if I understand what you're talking about. What url? user:Captain

The "sendmefile" URL of one of those tools. - Mr.Mouse

Ok then we need to make it clear that we're willing to host that kind of stuff. On a different note, I've added this message in the comments but I feel it's important enough to repeat here:

IMPORTANT

Please categorize your tool by name of game, NOT name of tool. For example, a tool like 'Elbereth's BloodRayne Texture Convert' should go under B, not E. It makes it easier for people to find the tool they want.

Mr.Mouse says: I agree, I was going to suggest something along similar lines. Also, the idea was that each tool would have a separate page with usage info.

Elbereth: indeed I first added it as B.. but then switched to E.. but I agree it would be better in the B section. Ok for the separate pages too. Will do that when I get some time for the 3 tools I added.

Captain: appreciated.

Done. --Elbereth 04:17, 23 May 2005 (EDT)

Far Cry model tool deleted (Aug 11 2006)

What in hell? Someone deleted the Far Cry model tool, anonymously. Rolled-back. Anyonymous users are not taken seriously, nothing can change here without a reason. Hmm, I could trace the ip back to an Indian network.

Linking with GRAFs page

I think we need to come up with a way to link this stuff with the GRAFs page, so that someone looking through the list of GRAFs on the wiki can immediately see if we have information on a toolset(s) for a given game. The first method that comes to mind would be putting a link after the game's entry (e.g. after the list of extensions) on the GRAF page, for example:

Any thoughts/suggestions? ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 10:41, 14 July 2007 (CDT)

Since not every toolset listed here has its own page on the Wiki, how about linking to the appropriate anchor within this page, i.e. to "Game Tools#Game XYZ"? Otherwise, there might also be trouble in case more than one set of tools is available for any given game. In effect, I'd vote to keep this page as the central list of links, while any other pages should merely point here. --Deniz Oezmen 18:59, 16 July 2007 (CDT)
Hmm... Well, I haven't heard any other imput from anyone, so I'm going to start linking. I'll use your idea, Deniz, it does make a lot of sense. If anyone else knows a better way to do this, please feel free to change my edits. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 12:49, 3 August 2007 (CDT)
